Privacy Policy for DroneOps Dispatch Services

 

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide, maintain, and improve our services, and to connect Operators and Clients.

  • From Operators (Drone Pilots):
    • Identity & Professional Data: Name, address, email, phone number, payment information.
    • Verification Data: FAA Part 107 Certificate number, proof of commercial liability insurance.
    • Performance Data: Flight history, ratings/reviews, service area, and pricing.
  • From Clients (Service Requesters):
    • Contact & Account Data: Name, billing address, email, phone number, payment information.
    • Project Specifics: Location of the mission, details of the requested service, site access information.
  • Automatically Collected Data:  


  • Usage Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and pages viewed (via cookies and web analytics).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following primary purposes:

  • Service Provision: To facilitate the matching of Clients with suitable Operators.
  • Payment Processing: To process service fees, Marketplace Fees, deposits, and pay Operators.
  • Safety & Compliance: To verify Operator compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FAA Part 107) and maintain a safe platform environment.
  • Communication: To send service updates, security alerts, and necessary administrative messages.
  • Improvement: To monitor, analyze, and improve the functionality and user experience of the Platform.

3. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We share information only as necessary to facilitate the service or as required by law.

  • Between Users: Client contact and mission details are shared with the assigned Operator. Operator profile information (ratings, service area, name) is shared with the Client.
  • With Third-Party Service Providers: We use third parties to process payments (Payment Service Providers/PSP), host the website, and manage analytics.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, in response to a subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our Platform, our users, or the public.

4. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

5. Data Retention

We will retain your Personal Data for no longer than is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

  • Active Accounts: We will retain data for as long as your account is active to provide you with services and facilitate new bookings.
  • Post-Termination: We will generally retain customer and operator data for a period of three (3) years after the business relationship ends, to comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax records, financial reporting) and for legitimate business interests, such as resolving disputes or enforcing our agreements.
  • Legal Hold: We may retain data for a longer period if required by law (e.g., contracts or invoices, which may be up to 7–10 years in some jurisdictions) or if the data is subject to a legal request or governmental investigation.
  • Secure Disposal: Once the data retention period expires, we will securely delete or anonymize your Personal Data so that it can no longer be associated with you.

We and our third-party service partners use cookies, web beacons, and other similar technologies to automatically collect information about your interactions with our website and services.
